I’m so chuffed to find out that Try Not to Breathe was the ninth most downloaded ebook by Amazon customers in Australia and New Zealand last year.
Right from publication I had a fantastic response in both countries. There were interviews with popular podcasts, guest newspaper articles and reviews plus brilliant support from bloggers and reviewers.
I’ve always wanted to visit Australia and New Zealand, in part probably for the crass reason that I was raised on a diet of their exported TV shows like Neighbours, Home and Away and Heartbreak High but also because of a love of Peter Carey novels and a fascination with the landscape and wildlife (except spiders).
One day I’ll make the mammoth flight.
But for now, I will celebrate the fact that my book made it over and has been so very warmly received. I’m so happy! Thank you, Australian and New Zealand readers!
