I’m delighted to announce that 59 MINUTEN, the translated Dutch version of 59 MINUTES, has been shortlisted for the Beste Vertaalde Thriller/Best Translated Thriller in the ThrillZone Awards 2025.
59 MINUTEN was brilliantly translated by Guus van der Made and published by A.W. Bruna.
The overall winners will be announced on Christmas Day.

The wonderful Laura Wilson described 59 MINUTES as an “inhale-at-a-sitting tour de force” and chose it as a crime and thriller pick for September 2025 alongside William Boyd, Janice Hallett, Richard Osman and Kate Rhodes.

Orion acquires rights Holly Seddon’s ‘heart-wrenching’ thriller
Orion Fiction has acquired the rights to Holly Seddon’s new “heart-wreching” thriller 59 Minutes. UK & Commonwealth (excluding Canada) rights were acquired from Sophie Lambert at C&W.
Emily Bestler acquired US rights in a two-book pre-empt, for Emily Bestler Books.
59 Minutes follows the journey of three women trying to make it home to and protect their families, after everyone receives a message that missiles are set to destroy England in 59 minutes time.
The publisher has described the novel as “thoroughly gripping and gut-wrenching”.
